About Me

My Story

I’m Abigail Nima, a graphic designer and multidisciplinary artist passionate about creating meaningful visual experiences through branding, illustration, photography, and fine art.

Originally from Peru and now based in Connecticut, my creative journey has been shaped by curiosity, adaptability, and a love for storytelling. Throughout my education and personal practice, I’ve explored different forms of visual expression while developing my skills in design, digital media, and traditional art.

My work is driven by the idea that every design has a story behind it. Whether creating a brand identity, capturing a moment through photography, or illustrating an idea, I strive to create visuals that feel intentional, thoughtful, and memorable.

My Approach

I believe good design combines creativity with purpose. My process focuses on understanding the message, audience, and emotions behind each project to create visuals that communicate clearly and connect with people.

I earned my Associate Degree of Arts in Graphic Design and Illustration from Connecticut State Community College, where I developed a strong foundation in visual communication, design principles, and creative problem solving.

Throughout my creative journey, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from talented artists and cultural institutions, including projects connected with the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) and artist James Grashow.

With experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, I enjoy exploring the relationship between strategy and artistic expression. I approach each project with curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating work that is both visually compelling and meaningful.
